Technology Black Out Day
I want to call your attention to a worthwhile exercise called "Imagine a
Technology Blackout Day." From now until May 20th, thousands of teachers
students and parents will participate in a discussion about how modern
technologies impact their daily lives at school, work, and play! The day
is set for April 20th, but teachers can choose to initiate their
"Imagine a Technology Blackout Day" discussions and submit their results
anytime from now until the event closes. There are more than $5000 in
great prizes to win including iPODs, Amazon gift cards, software and
hardware.
The FREE lessons are tailored for K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 grades. Visit
http://www.technologyblackoutday.com
for details. We would like to
see at least 50 schools in our state participate so visit the site and
sign up today to get involved and receive more information leading up to
the event!
